The concept and business model of Onaek was formed over the winter of 2006-2007 as the two co-founding directors pondered the limitations and short comings of large consultancies whom they worked for at the time. Unmotivated and despondent about the opportunities available at a place of work where the name of the game was to keep shareholders and board members happy rather than achieving excellence the two enthusiastic young entrepreneurs set about forming ideas to create a company that could destroy traditional consultancy’s within the built environment. Such traditions and attitudes accepted by most professionals and professional institutions in our disciplines did not represent the aspirations of clients we worked with in 21st century Britain.
And so, Onaek was formed in 2007 and with it an attempt to provide the quality and flexibility of service that could not be rivalled by large organisations. Coupled with this was the fact the whole philosophy was built on an entirely home working basis with no central office meant that the costs of such services were significantly lower than the very same people had been charged out at while working for their former employers from their plush city centre offices.
Roll forward to the current day and the same core philosophy remains as clear as it was in 2007. We strive to provide a personal and friendly service, some may say informal but we pride ourselves on our relationships which are delivered by a small dedicated team while still providing nationwide geographical coverage. We believe our level of service in its own right sets us apart from our competitors large and small but our economic advantages mean we have the all round package that still remains ahead of our time.
